As a high school sophomore, I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do. My fragrance journey started when I went to Ulta with my mom to buy a cologne I’d seen on TikTok (YSL Y EDP). The moment I smelled it, I knew I had to have it. That sparked my curiosity about the fragrance world, and soon I was diving deeper into TikTok and visiting retail stores to explore everything I could. I learned about different brands, summer vs. winter fragrances, and the difference between niche and designer scents. My collection quickly grew from just two bottles to nearly ten in just six months.
The real turning point came when I visited Austria on winter break with my family. Experiencing European fragrance stores was unforgettable—seeing the scents I’d always wanted to try right there in front of me. But what I could not grasp is where I would be able to try these amazing Fragrances back home in the US. Soon after returning, I decided to turn my newfound passion into a business. I spent over a month working on my brand and website, as well as gathering enough money to buy all the Colognes and perfumes I could get. On April 3rd, 2024 I launched Fragrance Vice. It was an instant hit at school, with over 40 orders in the first month!
That summer, I traveled back to Europe, specifically the South of France, where some of the first alcohol based perfumes were created. There, I took specialized courses in fragrance production and created two of my own scents. I also had the opportunity to witness the fragrance market on the coastline, which was truly inspiring.
Now, my goal is to turn my passion into a career. I want to help others discover not just great fragrances but the rich history and artistry behind them. My journey in fragrance has had its ups and downs, but my mission is to guide others through theirs, offering affordable options without the confusing descriptions or hefty price tags that often come with the territory.
